[[시편 23편]]의 텍스트를 1650년 [[스코틀랜드 시편가]]에서 개조한 것이다. [[제네바 시편가]]에서는 11.11.11.11.11.11 이라는 말도 안되는(!) 곡조로 세 절로 줄였는데, 이를 다섯줄로 정리했다.
